Privacy Policy — PIN MCP

1. Who this applies to

PIN MCP (the “App”) is a single-user personal automation tool operated by Julien Marani. The only end user is the operator. No accounts are created for third parties. The App is self-hosted on a private server controlled solely by the operator.

2. What we collect

When the operator authorizes the App via Pinterest OAuth, the App stores:

• The Pinterest access token and refresh token, encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM using a key that never leaves the operator’s server.
• The Pinterest account username associated with the authorization.
• The OAuth scopes granted by the operator.

No personally identifiable information is collected from any other user. The App does not call any Pinterest endpoint that would return data about other Pinterest users beyond what is already public.

3. How we use it

The tokens are used solely to call the Pinterest API v5 on behalf of the operator, to:

• Search public pins and boards by free-text query.
• List the operator’s own boards and their contents.
• Fetch full pin metadata (title, description, image URLs).
• Bundle selected pin images into a temporary zip file for the operator’s personal marketing reference work.

4. What we do not do

• We do not share, sell, or transfer any data to third parties.
• We do not redistribute Pinterest content publicly.
• We do not run advertising, tracking pixels, or analytics.
• We do not post, modify, or delete Pinterest content.

5. Data storage and retention

All data is stored on a private VPS controlled by the operator, in an encrypted SQLite database. Downloaded image bundles expire automatically after 1 hour and the underlying files are removed from disk. Pinterest tokens persist until the operator revokes them or deletes the App from the server.

6. Your rights

The operator can revoke the App’s Pinterest access at any time from pinterest.com/settings/apps and the App will lose access immediately.

7. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated. The current version is always available at the URL referenced in the Pinterest developer dashboard.
